Who is DaButlerGodsChild?
This is Grand Question that I meditated on most of my life trying to truly understand what my purpose was and the who,what,when,how Questions that surrounded this word, "Purpose"
Born Roy Vell Butler JR in the Great City of Houston Tx I seen and heard alot things before the age of 8 that would take me most of my life to recover from, Domestic Violence to Street Violence ,Drug addiction to just every letter of the word ADDICTION...(But Gods Grace)
I was raised in Church by my Momma Lawce Martin and Aunt Audrey Simmons,she was a single parent by my age of 5 Check out my song Keep Pressing for a little more clarity about that change of events and period in my life. Growing up on Northside of Houston between Weaver and Peachtree in the 1980's, I saw and experienced a great deal in the crack and heroin era, walking to school, stepping over dirty needles and pipes with poverty staring you in the face on every corner. I chose music as an outlet at earl age to drown out the many stresses and peer pressures that surrounded me, but still found myself caught up in some of the petty crimes (Drug Dealing). Being in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, and trusting my own craftiness over the word of God that I was raised to trust in,By 17 I was in prison and for the next 8 1/2 year of my life, I learned to lean heavily on the inner power (Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ) to console, comfort, and lead my every step. I now have a beautiful wife of 16 years and 5 handsome sons who I will lay down my life for to ensure they have all the tools needed to make it as Young Black Men in the United States. I want them to be able to recognize the Devil for who he is and to lean on God and not make the same mistakes that I did.

As I near Chapter 50 Im so Grateful to know that all these line up with my ,"Purpose"and that the who,what,when,how are constantly being revealed and downloaded into my Spirit daily.
